In cooperation with the Center for Women's Studies and the Faculty of Foreign Languages, a memorial ceremony was held for Professor Rula Quawas under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Azmy Mahafzah, and the attendance of the Vice Presidents, the relatives of the deceased and members of the administrative and academic staff. In his speech, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Professor Mahmoud Al-Shra'ah, talked about Quawas's academic achievements and her participation in local and international conferences and workshops. He also mentioned the administrative positions she occupied and her contribution to spreading thought and awareness in the field of women's rights. Al-Shra'ah concluded his speech by saying "The spirit of Professor Rula Quawas will remain in the halls and classrooms of the Department of English Language and Literature and her colleagues and students will always remember her good deeds and inspirational words. May her soul rest in peace.
