Faculty of Foreign Languages Holds Jerusalem in Modern World Literature

A Conference  titled Jerusalem in Modern World  Literature started  yesterday in The Foreign Language College under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Al Hassan Bin Talal, (his representative Professor Adnan Badran attended on behalf of him). The conference aims to celebrate the City as a symbol of peace, to explore the creative artistic accounts of the City in different languages and literary narratives, to highlight the position of the City as an icon of human co-existence, and to emphasize the human-place bond as it relates to Jerusalem.

 

 On the sidelines of the conference, a photo exhibition was held on the royal visits to Jerusalem and the role of the Hashemites in the reformation of Al-Aqsa mosque, highlighting the Islamic and Christian religious monuments, handicrafts, the commercial markets in Jerusalem and the suffering of Palestinians in the face of the Zionist occupation.​
