Russian Corner Organizes Activity about Russian Language and Costumes

On 23th March 2017, Dr. Tatyana Glouchtchenki organized an activity in the Russian Corner to review the Russian customs and traditions, read poetry and sing songs. Sixty students participated in this successful activity. The cultural event was attended by Dr. Vadim Zajejkov, Director of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Amman. He spoke about the importance of the Russian language in Jordan and the Middle East and the scholarships offered by the Russian side annually to Jordan. Dr. Marina Yemava, Russian Language School at the People's Friendship University in Moscow, also spoke about the importance of cultural exchange between Russia and Jordan, and praised the interest of Jordanian students in the Russian language and their ability to learn and master the language and love Russia. The open class was attended by the Russian language teachers at the University of Jordan Dr. Catherine Fedoseva, Dr. Ina Zarovna and Dr. Yelena Al- Momani.
