New Student Meetings

The Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​organized a meeting with its new students on Wednesday, 18/10/2017, to acquaint them with their faculty and their departments and to discuss matters related to registration, academic programs and university life. The meeting was held in three sessions according to specialization and attended by a large number of students.
 
Professor Mahmoud Al-Shara'ah, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, delivered a welcoming speech to the students, stressing the importance of the university experience in forming the personality of the youth and urging them to deepen their relationship with the university and to grasp their opportunities.
He stressed the need to preserve the reputation of the academic university, the mother university, and asked them to get acquainted with the regulations governing students' life.
Dr. Barzarkar Al-Dabbati, Assistant dean for student affairs stressed the importance of obtaining information from reliable sources, by urging them to visit the official websites of the university, or speaking with faculty members and administrative staff when needed.
 
The meeting was attended by Dr. Narjis Al-Nasser, Deputy Dean and heads of departments at the faculty: Professor Jihad Hamdan, Head of Department of English Language and Literature; Dr. Akram Odeh, Head of the Department of French Language and Literature; Dr. Hussein Al-Duwairi, Head of the Department of European Languages; ​​and Dr. Bagdagul Moussa, Head of the Department of Asian Languages. Issues related to the academic programs, specialization requirements and cultural exchange programs were discussed. Students were urged to take advantage of all the services and activities offered by the university, which benefit them at the academic and cultural levels, and not to limit their university experience to university's lectures only.
