SFL & KOICA discuss bilateral cooperation

The Dean of the School of Foreign Languages (SFL) Professor Yousef Abu Amrieh met on Tuesday 3/11/2020 the head of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) office in Amman Hyo Jin Kim in the presence of Vice Dean Dr. Dima Ammari and Assistant Dean for International Relations & Community Service Mrs. Israa Al-Mobaideen. Discussions covered ways to develop bilateral cooperation, especially in terms of providing more volunteers to teach the Korean language, providing SFL’s classrooms with the necessary equipment that contribute to enriching the students’ leaning experience. Discussions also covered the possibility of KOICA supporting a Korean language radio program that the SFL seeks   to air on the University of Jordan Radio in addition to many topics that will serve the school and the university alike.

It is worth mentioning that the cooperation between the SFL and KOICA dates back to more than a decade since the establishment of the Korean Language program in the Department of Asian Languages. This cooperation has led to positive results on students’ performance and their acquisition of the Korean language.
