A
group of students from the School of Foreign Languages (SFL) participated in
the second event of the series “Stories from the World", which was
launched by the School of Foreign Languages in cooperation with the Children’s
Museum last July.
The
event included the reading of a story in Chinese by the student, Anoud Abu
Al-Ghanam, under the supervision of Dr. Liu Guanhua, and a story in Spanish,
which was read by the student, Raghad Al-Khatib, under the supervision of Dr.
Muayyad Sharab. The student, Yara Nimr Khalil, also read a story in Italian
under the supervision of Dr. Yazid Al-Hammoury, in addition to a
German-language story that was read by student Fatima Muhammad under the
supervision of Dr. Nadia Al-Naqrash.
In
this context, the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Dr. Youssef Abu Amrieh,
stressed the importance of such activities in refining the student’s
personality and giving him / her the opportunity to serve his local community,
in addition to giving the children an opportunity to read stories in different
languages and learn new vocabulary.
It
is worth noting that the first event was held on 3/7/2021 and included readings
in Russian, Turkish, French and Korean.
