Honoring Winners of Short Story Competition in Department of Asian Languages

​The project team "Asian Languages - World Literature" in the Department of Asian Languages at the School of Foreign Languages /the University of Jordan held today, 26/05/2024, an event honoring the winners of the Short Story Competition in the languages taught in the department: Turkish, Korean and Russian, in the presence of the Head of the Department of Asian Languages, Dr. Dina Salman, and the lecturers of the Department of Asian Languages. Dr. Bagdagul Mussa opened the event with a welcoming speech and emphasized the importance of reading, which is a great blessing especially when students can read the works of famous authors in the language they learn without translation, followed by the opening speech of Dr. Dina Al-Salman, in which she expressed her happiness with the great efforts made in the Asian department and its constant activity in all events held at the School of Foreign Languages. The event included a theatrical performance of the story "Küfeci" (The Porter) in Turkish, "A Tale about Watches" in Russian, and "Burying a Treasure Map" in Korean. 

The event concluded with the distribution of prizes for the Short Story Competition, honoring the winning students, as well as the participants in the competition and taking a group photo.

Third prize: Fatima Zayoud

Winners from the Korean Section:
First prize: Farah Aladwan 
Second prize : Mays Khraisat
Third prize: Nour Al-Manaseer

Winners from the Russian Section:
First prize: Aseel Samman
Second prize: Rama Al-Wawi
Third prize: Hadeel Elyan
