As part of efforts to enhance academic and cultural cooperation between educational institutions internationally, Jordan Media Institute, in collaboration with CUEJ University in Strasbourg, France, organized an exceptional cultural exchange program. This initiative aimed to produce various press reports about Jordan, with active involvement from students of the French Language and Literature Department at the University of Jordan in May.
In this context, several students from the French Language and Literature Department (Asil Bassam, Ahmed Bazza, Dina Al-War, Nashwa Al-Khatib, Celine Tashman, Rami Jaber, and Muhammad Al-Fityani) participated under the guidance of Dr. Musa Awad and Dr. Haitham Qutub, playing a crucial role in the press reporting process.
This program is an excellent opportunity to enhance students' journalistic skills and broaden their cultural perspectives. One of its key features is fostering cultural exchange, allowing students to learn about new cultures and share ideas with their French counterparts. This exchange significantly broadens their cultural and intellectual awareness, deepening their understanding of the world.
Additionally, the program plays a crucial role in developing students' journalistic abilities through hands-on experience in creating press reports. It enables them to apply theoretical knowledge from their academic studies in real-world situations, thus improving their practical skills and enriching their academic experience. Such practical experience is essential for preparing students for the job market and equipping them to become professional journalists.
Furthermore, the program offers students the chance to gain a deeper understanding of Jordan through field trips, allowing them to explore various regions of the Kingdom. These trips helped them create reports filled with rich information and precise details. This field experience is not only educationally advantageous but also fosters a greater sense of belonging and pride in their country.
