As part of the activities of the scientific day of the School of Foreign Languages, the Department of European Languages organized a dialogue session entitled "The Role of Arabic and Islamic Civilization in the Formation of European Thought".
The session was moderated by Professor Mahmoud Jarn, Professor of Italian Literature at the Department of European Languages, with the participation of both Prof. Mahmoud Husseinat, Professor of German Literature at Yarmouk University and Dr. Malak Al-Shamayleh who is specialized in Spanish literary and cultural studies.
The most prominent point the participants touched on was the role played by Arabic Islamic civilization in shaping medieval European thought and science.
The audience participations enriched the dialogue and everyone praised the organization of the session and called for more similar activities.
