Dean of the School of Foreign Languages Meets The Goethe Institute

The Dean of the School of Foreign Languages (SFL), Dr. Marwan Al-Jarrah, met on Thursday, 19/9/2024, with Mrs. Maryam Al-Damiri, Director of the German Language Department and Deputy Director of The Goethe Institute, Mrs. Sarah Al-Shennawy, responsible for language courses at the Institute, and Mrs. Ruqayya Al-Shami,
Coordinator of the Educational Cooperation Department for German and Schools Partners of the Future at the School of Foreign Languages at University of Jordan. The meeting was held in the presence of Dr. Mays Al-Sharaa, Vice Dean for Administrative Affairs and Partnerships, Dr. Sarah Al-Shanmi, German Language Teacher in the Department of European Languages, and Mrs. Esraa Al-Mubaideen Assistant Dean for International Relations and Website Affairs.

During the meeting, the participants discussed possible ways of cooperation between the School of Foreign Languages and The Goethe Institute in order to support the bachelor's program in German, especially with regard to developing and strengthening the educational environment and infrastructure for teaching German at SFL .

In addition, a number of issues related to the aspects of providing training opportunities for students and job opportunities for graduates from the department at the Institute and in its schools were discussed. The two parties discussed the possibility of holding workshops and events with the aim of preparing the students for their career life. The two parties expressed great interest in the possibility of effective cooperation to serve the students and the graduates.
