The Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Professor Marwan Al-Jarrah, and the Assistant Dean for International Relations and the Website, Dr. Israa Al-Mubaidain, met with the Acting Ambassador of the Polish Embassy in Amman, Dr. Damian Syjczak, Deputy Director General of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), and Dr. Mariusz Czech, Director of Polish Language Programs at the agency, along with their accompanying delegation, to discuss ways to enhance academic and cultural cooperation between the two sides and explore future partnership opportunities in language education and academic exchange.
The two parties discussed the possibility of offering a Polish language diploma and establishing a joint Polish/English Bachelor’s program in the future, in addition to exploring opportunities for signing a memorandum of understanding covering student exchanges and scholarships in Poland for students and researchers.
The meeting also highlighted plans to offer Polish language courses, establish a Polish cultural corner, and launch a center for lectures in Polish at the University of Jordan in order to foster cultural and academic ties between the two countries.
