The Head of the Department of Asian Languages, Dr. Malek Sawalha, invited Prof. Dr. Turan Karataş from Ankara University of Social Sciences to the University of Jordan to give a lecture in the Modern Turkish Literature course. The lecture was supervised by the course teacher, Ms. Selmin Salihi, and attended by Dr. Utku Mehmet Öden and Mr. Ferhat Tamkoç from Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center. The lecture was of great importance in terms of shedding light on some Turkish writers and poets from the Republic era to the present day, and this had a great impact on the literary and poetic passion of the fourth-year Turkish Language section students.
