On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the School of Foreign Languages at the University of Jordan proudly hosted the EEFA-TTFA Alumni Community of Practice and Reunion for the second time, welcoming 80 Jordanian English teachers who had participated in the EEFA (2021–2022) and TTFN (2022–2024) U.S.-funded teacher development programs.
The event, held in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Amman, Georgia State University, and the University of North Georgia, featured professional development sessions and collaborative learning.
Key speakers included:
• Dr. Juman Al Bukhari (Washington University in St. Louis) on Learning and Development
• Dr. Abdel Azim Sultan on English education and teacher training at RELO
• Dr. Susan L. Ogletree (Georgia State University) on Leadership, Lifelong Learning, and Action Research
• Dr. James Badger (University of North Georgia) on Professional Learning Communities
The event also highlighted the continued success of the English Language Conference, now in its third year, which has reached over 500 teachers across Jordan. Partners include the University of Jordan, the University of Jordan’s Teacher Academy, Mutah University, Al-Balqa Applied University, Washington University in Saint Louis, Georgia State University, and the University of North Georgia.
The EEFA-TTFN programs aim to empower English teachers in underserved Jordanian schools through advanced pedagogy, English proficiency, and educational technology.
