Dr. Hussein A. Alhawamdeh Publishes Papers on the Cultural Appropriations of William Shakespeare

​​Dr. Hussein A. Alhawamdeh, Assistant Professor in English Literature at the Department of English Language and Literature, published two articles on the cultural appropriations of the works of William Shakespeare. His first paper, titled “Shakespeare in the Arab Jordanian Consciousness: Shylock in the Poetry of ʿArār (Mustafa Wahbi Al-Tal)” was published in Arab Studies Quarterly, and his second one, titled “The Appropriation of Shakespeare in Fadia Faqir’s Willow Trees Don’t Weep” was published in Critical Survey.
