This course trains students in translation from Arabic into Turkish. It highlights general linguistic and cultural difficulties of translation and shows students how to overcome them. It also includes translation of practical texts (e.g. documents, certificates, directions of use, etc.) as well as translation of short newspaper articles. Students can also be equipped with the terminology of various fields through selected texts and articles.
