Background to the Program and Subject Area
At the start of the academic year 2010/2011, a bachelor's program in Turkish and English was introduced. The Turkish embassy demonstrated its full support by establishing a dedicated corner and laboratory for Turkish language instruction. The program focuses on language and literature subjects from both languages. A total of 144 credit hours are required for graduation. Sixty percent of the curriculum covers Turkish language and literature subjects, while the remaining 40 percent focuses on English language subjects. Presently, there are 349 students enrolled in this program.

The vision of the Turkish Language Section is to lead and excel in nurturing a generation of proficient language speakers, addressing the challenges posed by the knowledge society.

Offering exceptional teaching approaches and generating high-quality research aligning with the university's overarching mission as a research-focused institution. This involves cultivating an enriching educational atmosphere conducive to intellectual creativity, while also fostering cultural connections between Jordan and the global community, with a special emphasis on Turkey. Moreover, it entails establishing impactful strategic collaborations on both regional and global scales.
