A group of students from the
Faculty of Foreign Languages organized an initiative entitled "Iqra"
(Read) for the exchange of cultural books among the students of the faculty
because reading helps to increase the cultural awareness among the youth and to
promote critical thinking skills..
The idea was admired by Dean of
the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Al-Shra'a, because of
the great benefits of reading. The idea was also admired by a large number of
students as more than (50) books about
different topics were distributed.
This is the first initiative at
the Faculty of Foreign Languages and there will be more activities and
initiatives that urge students to read.
