​Dr. Abdel Rahman Altakhaineh and Dr. Aseel Zibin, in collaboration with PhD candidate Lama Khalifah, have published the first study on semantic variation and change in Arabic. Their research, titled “A Horn of Pepper or a Head of Onion: An Analysis of Semantic Variation of Classifiers in Jordanian Spoken Arabic from a Cognitive Sociolinguistic Approach," appears in Languages (Scopus), vol. 9, no. 8, 2024, 270.​​
