Master in Translation French - Arabic / Program Intended Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the master's program in Translation (French-Arabic), the student is expected to be able to:

 

1- Apply and evaluate translation theories and documentary research in the various stages of translation.
2- Translate general and technical texts effectively and accurately between French and Arabic.
3- Evaluate and criticize texts to be translated with objectivity and high professionalism at the cognitive and terminological levels.
4- Identify and solve translation problems at the stage of comprehending the text and at the stage of transferring the text into the target language
5- Work efficiently within a team and communicate effectively with parties requesting translation, demonstrating commitment to academic integrity at all stages of work.
6- Use Efficiently translation aids tools such as machine translation software and translation assistance software.
7- Use information and communication technology to access global databases and information in his field of specialization to develop his knowledge and skills and to generate new knowledge.
8- He bears the responsibility incumbent upon him as a translation specialist and practices his work within the professional and value system of society.
9- He uses higher thinking skills, critical thinking and creativity in analyzing and investigating issues related to translation and the French language.
10- He employs research methodologies and the tools emanating from them in preparing his thesis and preparing different types of research related to translation.​
