Students of Russian language celebrated The New Year under
the supervision of Dr. Yelena Al-Momani on Thursday 12/29/2016. The students recited
poetry and performed a Russian play entitled Twelve Months in the
Russian Corner. The event was held in the presence of Assistant Dean of student
Affairs, Dr. Jaran, Head of the Department of Asian Languages, Dr. Bagdagul Mussa, Dr. Tatiana Nikolai, Dr. Ekaterina Fedosivia Dr. Anna Zarovna and a number of faculty members. Students wore what fits their roles and
decorated the corner for the play. The students also prepared a buffet which includes
Russian and Arab dishes. In addition, two students namely Jamal Abu Radin Al-Ajarma
and Kauthar Al-Faouri sang Russian and Arabic traditional songs.
