A Conference in the Turkish Section presented by Honorary Professor Ramazan Korkmaz.

The Turkish Language Section in the Department of Asian Languages, in the Faculty of Foreign Languages, at the University of Jordan, held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 7.30 pm to 9 pm, an online conference on “Google Meet” application, entitled as “A New Genre in Turkish Literature: The Short- Short Story” presented by Honorary Professor of the University of Jordan Ramazan Korkmaz, and moderated by Dr. Bagdagul Mussa, in the presence of the Turkish Language Section teachers, Dr. Abdullah Demiral, Dr. Utku Mehmet Öden, Dr. Selmin Kuş, and Dr. Malek Sawalha and ... .

Prof. Dr. Korkmaz talked about a new genre that is spreading in Turkish literature in particular and world literature in general, which is the short-short story. He introduced this genre, mentioned its features, what makes it different from other types of literature, and the reasons for its emergence, in addition to presenting various examples it. The meeting received wide participation and admiration from the students, as they participated actively in the meeting. One of the students also recited a short-short poem for the audience, and at the end of the meeting the students asked their questions, which helped enrich the topic.
