As part of its initiative of the University of Jordan to host experts, develop theoretical courses, and prepare students for the job market, Professor Dr. Shereen Kakish invited Dr. Tarek Rashid, an Expert, a consultant and trainer in personal and institutional development at several international centers in the UAE, Italy, Switzerland, Singapore, and others. He is also a media professional with Sharjah Radio and TV, ZAD Scientific Channel, and Hayat FM, and has participated in presenting numerous programs at various global, regional, and local conferences.
Dr. Rashid delivered a lecture for students of the course “Essentials of Professional Communication (in French)” on Teams. In his lecture, he discussed the basics of self-communication and effective communication with others, as well as non-verbal communication and its importance in institutional work environments. He also addressed the challenges and obstacles to effective communication and strategies to overcome them, along with the skills that enable students to interact effectively with others both institutionally and personally. Dr. Tarek Rashid concluded his lecture by outlining the factors that help refine capabilities for effective influence and how to acquire the skill of managing emotions and motivations, as well as the ability to handle diversity and the art of dialogue, and how to practice public speaking while having self-confidence and the body language needed for this objective.
