As part of the initiative of hosting experts and developing courses to align with modernity and the future careers requirements, Professor Shereen Kakish hosted Dr. Lubna Bin Khalifa to deliver a lecture for students in the Contemporary French and Francophone Literature course on how to benefit from artificial intelligence tools in their course in a responsable way.
Dr. Bin Khalifa obtained her PhD in Electronics and Artificial Intelligence Systems from the Pascal Institute in Clermont-Ferrand, France, and her Master's degree in Engineering from the School of Mines in Saint-Étienne, France. Her research focuses on trustworthy and ethical artificial intelligence, secure Internet of Things systems engineering, and the governance of emerging technologies. Dr. Bin Khalifa is an active member of the Artificial Intelligence Committee of the Supreme Council for Science and Technology and provides consulting to organizations on the responsible use of artificial intelligence and the regulation of modern technologies. In her lecture, she talked about the precautions for using artificial intelligence tools before outlining the tools and programs that students can use in a responsable and conscious way.
