Visit of the Turkish Language Section at the Department of Asian Languages / School of Foreign Languages to the Turkish Martyrs Cemetery in Salt

The Head of the Department of Asian Languages, Dr. Bagdagul Mussa, with a group of instructors and students of the Turkish Language Section, visited the Turkish Martyrs Cemetery in the city of Salt today, Sunday, March 19, on the occasion of March 18, Martyrs' Memorial Day and the 108th anniversary of the naval victory in the Battle of Çanakkale under the patronage of His Excellency the Turkish Ambassador in Amman, Erdem Ozan. His kindness, the Governor of the city of Balqa, Dr. Firas Abu Qaoud, and in the presence of the Mayor of Salt, Eng. Muhammad Abdul Karim Al-Hiyari, the Head of the State Archives headed by the Turkish Republic, Dr. Ugur Unal, diplomatic representatives, Jordanian military and civilian officials, and a number of ambassadors of brotherly countries attended the ceremony.
 
The celebration included many activities, such as giving speeches in Arabic and Turkish, praying for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland, presenting wreaths, planting olive trees, and taking group photos.
