The Korean Language Section participated in Awards Ceremony for the Korean Picture Books Translation Contest sponsored by Korea-Arab Society (KAS) and the Korean Board on Books for Young People (KBBY) on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 online.
H.E. Ma, Yong-sam, the Secretary-General of Korea-Arab Society (KAS), Officials from Arab Embassies accredited to the Republic of Korea, Professors and Students of the Korean Language in the Arab Universities, Professors and students of Arabic Department in the Korean Universities and authors of the translated picture books have participated in the virtual ceremony via Teams.
Also, Dr. Bagdagul Mussa, Head of the Department of Asian Languages, Dr. Lee, Jung Ae, Dr. Esraa Hasan, Ms. Yuri Ahn, from the Korean Section, professors and students of the Department have participated in this ceremony.
Farah Al-Udwan, 2nd year student, won the first place, and Reem Ayyad, 2nd year student, won the second place, while Raghad Salman(3rd year student), Dania Obaidat(2nd year student) and Esraa Omar(1st year student) won the third place.
