On Sunday, June 25, 2023 the School of Foreign Languages celebrated the renovation of the Korean Corner under the patronage of the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea His Excellency KİM Dong-ki. Dean of the School, Prof. Dr. Nahed Al-Emaish opened the ceremony by delivering a welcome speech. Administrative staff of the School, Head of the Department of Asian Languages, faculty members and students of the Department attended the event. The main organizer of the event Dr. PARK Byoungju, provided the financial support by Korea Foundation to renovate the Korean Corner, which includes replacement of the doors and windows with double glass and the replacement of computers and projectors at the Corner.
In the event students of the Korean Section performed Samulnori and Korean Fan dance.
Ambassador KİM Dong-gi expressed that He was impressed by the students' performance and said that He would try his best to provide more materials and equipment for education.
Prof. Dr. Nahed Al-Emaish said that the event is only an example of the fruitful cooperation.
