The fourth student symposium entitled "Learning Turkish as a Foreign Language"

​Section of Turkish and English Languages  at the Department of Asian Languages ​​at the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​at the University of Jordan organized the fourth student symposium entitled "Learning Turkish as a Foreign Language" on Sunday, 07/30/2023 at the Al-Kindi Auditorium. The symposium was organized under the supervision of the Section Coordinator and Head of the Department of Asian Languages, Dr. Bagdagul MUSSA. The symposium was attended by the Assistant Director of the Yunus Emre Center, Mr. Ferhat Tamkoç, and the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Ghadir Al-Hassan, who delivered the opening speech. The symposium was attended by Dr. Eness YILDIZ, Dr. Hacer ARSLAN, Ms. Zainab MARWAN, and Ms. Baraa Ahmed. A number of graduates and fourth and third year students participated in the symposium. During which they talked about the difficulties they faced while learning the Turkish language. In their speech, the teachers touched on how to develop language and the need to maintain its practice. After that, they evaluated the performance of the symposium speakers and chose the first three distinguished participants, namely Haya Abdel Halim, Abdel Rahman Al Najjar, and Tulin Haobsh, who were  honored with a "Best Presentation" certificate and a collection of stories, and then the rest of the participants were honored with a participation certificate and a collection of stories. Teachers, directors of the sessions, and students of the organizing committee were also honored with letters of thanks. This was followed by a question and answer section. Then a group photo was taken. In addition to this symposium, there was hospitality, which included tea (which is the most popular drink in Turkey), coffee and some sweets.
