As part of the Career Readiness course, students from the Department of French Language at the School of Foreign Languages, University of Jordan, participated in a training workshop on organizing international scientific events and the role of simultaneous interpretation in conferences.
Under the supervision of Mr. Omar Dabayebeh, and with the guidance of Dr. Marwan Al-Jarrah, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, and Dr. Ashraf Allawama, Head of the Department of French Language and Literature, students explored the processes of organizing international events and the importance of interpretation in their success.
The workshop was enriched by the presence of distinguished guest professors from French-speaking countries, including Dr. Philippe from the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, who shared his academic experiences and emphasized the vital role of organization and translation in the success of international conferences.
Additionally, the students engaged in practical, hands-on training with simultaneous interpretation equipment, gaining valuable experience in using these devices and understanding their operation within the context of international conferences and events.
