The second section in the Department of European Languages is the Italian Section which offers a joint B.A degree in Italian and English Languages.  Currently there are 257 students enrolled in the program. In order to obtain the degree, students are required to complete 144 credited hours. 60% of the course load in Italian language and literature. The remaining 40% is dedicated to English language and literature.  The Italian section currently employs five PhD holders as full timers.

This program is one of the dual bachelor programs that the school offers. It was introduced at the beginning of the academic year 2010/2011, where the Russian embassy expressed its willingness to support the study of the Russian language at the University of Jordan, in order to sign an agreement with the "Russian Scientist" Fund, and from there the Russian corner was opened at the university.

The Russian government provides a scholarship for students during the summer period to study in Russia. This division teaches the undergraduate program in both Russian and English languages, with emphasis on language and literature subjects in both languages. The student must complete a total of 144 credit hours. Where the percentage of subjects in Russian language and literature reaches 60%, while the percentage of subjects in the English language is 40%, in order to obtain a bachelor's degree.​

This program fosters students' knowledge of the English language and literature and develops their language competence and critical thinking skills. The program consists of three fields: First, Advanced language skills that offer courses on the basic four skills as well as translation and journalistic writing. Second, Linguistics which examines English language as a science and offers courses on linguistic, phonetics, and sociolinguistics. Third, Literature which explores literary genres such as novel and drama, western theories, and periodized American and English literature. Various jobs are available for the graduates, such as Media,
Teaching, Translation, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Banks and companies, and Tourism.

This program includes 144 credit hours, the plan focuses on language skills, translation and cultural studies.
There is no doubt that China's economy, create many job opportunities. As well,  the private sector in this country and in the Arab world need Chinese-speakers. Therefore,  many opportunities will be created, especially in the field of translation, interpretation and public relations.

The programme develops the students' skills in English-Arabic-English translation in the fields of economics, politics, administration, literature, law and media. Some of the job prospects for the graduates are: Written translation in various types of business, Consecutive and simultaneous translation in conferences and symposiums, Teaching, and Media and journalism.

The programme promotes the students' knowledge in English literature. In particular, it focuses on the following subjects: Novel, Drama, Criticism, Literary theory, and Methods of research in Literature. After graduation, graduates  may find many job opportunities in Teaching, Media, Tourism, Banks and Companies and Translation.

The program was wstablished recently for the aim of providing  practical and theoretical aspects of translation in the French language.

Students enrolled in the program receive intensive practical training in translation and interpretation from French to Arabic and from Arabic to French.

The proposed M.A.programis a quality contribution to higher education in language, culture, and communication at Jordanian as well as Arab universities. This programcould be unique in this region as it responds to challenges brought by globalization by focusing on all aspects of communication between individuals, institutions, and cultures.
The proposedprogram provides students with opportunities to acquire communication skills as well as the theoretical knowledge needed to solve communication problems in a variety of domains: Business, Press, Journalism…etc. Through elective courses, this programoffers flexibility that fulfills a wide range of student needs and concerns.
The M.A. Program in ‘Language, Culture, and Communication’ is comprised of (33) credit hours which can be taken in two tracks: Thesis Track and Comprehensive Examination Track. The former consists of (15) compulsory credit hours, (9) elective credit hours and (9) credit hours for an M.A. thesis. By contrast, the latter consists of (24) compulsory credit hours and (9) elective credit hours followed by a comprehensive examination that covers the different fields of knowledge covered by the study plan.

This program follows the "dual languages" i.e., double major approach  which means that the French language is usually a foreign language to most students, while the English language is a secondary language.

Our program stands out by being  an applied language program for the purpose of preparing students for the job market.

The program offers a number of literary subjects with the aim of training students in critical thinking and not with the aim of graduating students specializing in literature.

The program also offers ESP courses in both languages: French and English, linguistic and applied skills courses.
